I bought 2 sets and really do love the lanterns but the pole and hook leave me unhappy. They came in pieces which is just fine except at the points where they connect they are very weak. Couldn't use the poles. Fortunately I had some really sturdy ones, I had kept from some lanterns I had years ago, that are made of stainless steel. These work really well. Now lets see how long the lanterns themselves work. Hopefully longer than most do.

For the price, this item was not what I expected. It was missing pieces and pretty much fell apart. The lanterns themselves work very well, but the shepherd's hooks have bent and become misshapen and will not hold the lamps. I'm going to attach the lamps to my house with a new holder and throw the hooks away. Kind of a waste.
