Very easy to put together. Top piece is a plastic look and so is the door inserts.this is not a high end piece but I think it is very cute wold recommend it only if you could get in on sale. A bit over priced

Console fits perfectly for the area I purchased for. I would give this item 5 stars except it was missing a good number of screws that I had to look for at the hardware store. One of the screws for the door handle was not long enough to "hold" the handle in place. Other that than, it is a great find and beautiful piece of furniture.
