There's not much to say. It's cast iron. It was as large as I expected. It is solid (because it's cast iron). The press is heavy and solid (because it's cast iron). It's awesome for cooking a steak. Food cooked on cast iron has a better flavor. Like all cast iron, there is a "break in" period where it is a little sticky and a little rough to clean. But then, this isn't a 3-5 year Teflon coated pan. This is cast iron. It just gets better and better every year. Your kids will want this when you die. It's lifespan will be measured, not by years, but by generations. It's cast iron. You love it or you hate it. You know which one you are. Did I mention, it's cast iron?
