I purchased this set because I did not need the steak knives that so often come with most featured cutlery sets; and because of the other posted customer reviews. These knives offer exceptional quality in design and application. The handles provide good balance and unique comfort during use, and the blades are heavy, with excellent craftsmanship and exceptional sharpness. I cannot verify the length of time they maintain their sharpness because I haven't had them very long. But, so far, I am most pleased. They instill color and style to the kitchen counter, and are a good fit. I thought them to be a little pricey at first, but after some comparative shopping, they prove to be a fair value.

These knives LOOK great, but better than that, they ARE great! Beautiful as well as useful! I use the Santoku everyday! I run it across a sharpener every 5 or 6 days and in never wears down! The best knives I have EVER purchased!

these things looked great, now six months later they are rusting, and only have been hand washed, it's a shame Fiesta let it's name be used for these thing, you are paying for the name only,
