Smart Globe Deluxe takes the whole family on a learning journey. Touch any point on the globe with its SmartPen to learn amazing facts about different places. To embark on an interactive lesson, choose from 30 exciting activities and quiz games (for 1 to 4 players) that test knowledge of geography, world culture, history and current events at three skill levels (ages 5 to 8, 9 to 14, or 15 and up). It's multilingual, too, with English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese. The globe's base has a pullout tray with a map of the United States and in-depth details about each of the 50 states. SmartPen has built-in speaker for cordless use, and if you need more volume, you can plug it into the base and use the speakers there. Comes with a 25-page book to further explore countries, animals, dinosaurs, flags, foods, landmarks and inventions. Use USB cable and included software to download free weekly information updates online through 2009. Pen uses two AAA batteries (included); base uses AC adapter or four AA batteries (included). 11" l x 13" w x 15" h. Ages 5 and up.
