Tastes gross
I bought this for the family christmas party and it was so gross and nasty. It tasted like it was old cake and the frosting was horrible.

My husband bought this cake for me for my birthday. It is one of the best cakes I have ever eaten. My husband loved it too. From the coconut buttercream frosting, that melts in your mouth, to the Coconut all over it and the cake itself, every bite of it was perfect. Not too sweet, yet moist and amazing. We will definitely buy this cake again. I feel that it is priced well because if you went to your local bakery and asked them to replicate it you'd pay a lot more. I highly recommend it if you love coconut and gourmet level cakes. It comes packaged very well and in one piece. I've purchased Coconut Cakes before and they ALL pale in comparison to this one. This will be a new birthday tradition cake in our family. Yum : )

STALE AND DISGUSTING TO BOOT!!!!!
I bought this and asked for Dec. 23rd shipping. Mainly for Christmas dessert. It came on the 18th and it was packaged well enough I thought maybe, just maybe it would be ok. Boy was I wrong! The whole cake is nothing but frosting,between layers which was more than the cake, tasted like coconut flavored crisco and the whole thing was stale ! The outside frosting on the cake fell right off and was hard! This was the most disgusting cake I ever tried. #/4 of it is left and not one person finished their piece that they attempted to eat. I was so embarrased!!!!!!

So So
I just received this and I had been wanting a Coconut cake for so long. I opened it and the icing on the outside is really thick and hard. Is it made from fondant? I know that it is not buttercream. There has to have been something added to it so that it would be okay for shipping. The inside of the cake is delicious and soft but what good is it to just eat the inside. With the price I really did expect more. If not for the outside I would have given you guys five stars. Sorry
