39-year-old Washers' Last Spin - A Necessity Here
My older washer machine of 39 years made its final spin. I was shopping around and came across, the RCA Portable Washer, which was the best and most economic choice I've made. It's well-constructed and quiet. I recommend this product.

Highly Impressed
I am a mechanic. My work clothes get filled with oil, grease and diesel fuel. My wife blows a gasket when I use the big washer. I hate going to the laundry mat, so I bit the bullet and bought this washer. I am highly impressed, this washer not only cleaned my clothes, removed diesel, I also decided to wash my oil soaked shop rags. Again, this washer impressed me, shop rags came out clean. Now my wife wants to use my washer for small loads, oh the irony of it. II do question the 7lb load claim. I washed two pairs of pants, three shirts, four pairs of socks at the same time. I get the feeling three pairs of pants might be a little much due to the bulk, however I am going to try it. Not only that, but I do think it is capable of washing 7lbs of smaller items. Furthermore, I am happy with this washer. Controls are easy to operate. You can pause the washer to add softener at the rinse cycle without starting the wash over. My recommendation, watch the first couple loads wash to learn about this machine. Experiment by pausing, opening the door, watch the timer for rinse cycle, so you know when to add softener. There is a cup under the lid to add liquid detergent. This cup is not described in the manual. It is located at the seven o'clock position from the front of the washer. Recommendation, buy or make a cradle with wheels, so it can be rolled for use and storage, my wife could not lift this washer.

perfect for apartment
I moved to an apartment last week, hookups were for a stacked washer/dryer combination only in a tiny closet. I ordered this RCA portable washer thinking maybe it would hook up in the closet instead of to the sink. All I had to do was remove the sink adapter and it hooked up perfect. So I just ordered the RCA dryer. For now I am using a dryer rack. The washer worked as good as I expected it would. I am very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it for apartment use.

Leaks
I order this machine I put drain hose on and hook everything up and try to wash one shirt and it leak all over the floor I try again puting hose on see if it was on right it leaked again all over the floor . I thought a drain hose was suppose drain in the tub or sink but somewhere it leaking I think seal is broke on the black hose or something . another thing I had to buy clamps cause I didn't get any.might be a good thing to have if mine wasnt leaking I am scare to use it cause leaking cause I live up stairs and water gets all over floor I afraid neighbor going complain about flooding her out
