Cheap.
I ordered the butterfly. This is a very cheaply made hanging sunflower seed bird feeder. There is one pitiful little bulb up in the very top of it that looks like a night light. There is no glow down to the rest of the feeder at all. It hangs on our deck & TBH, it looks like a little UFO because all you see is the tiny little bulb. I like the general idea that birds can hang from it to pull out the seed but that's ALL. Cheap little latch on back that squirrels will open very easily. So instead of sunflower, I am using it for safflower because squirrels will stay away from it. I may end up painting it just because the colors are hideous & cheap & will turn it into an orb by adding some fairy lights inside because then I will see the entire butterfly after dark. Otherwise, don't waste your money.

Beautiful Butterfly
The bird feeder was much larger than I thought. The colors are vibrant and bright. At night the light is suttle but makes the prettiest reflection pattern on the ground under the tree I hung it on. It is just the prettiest addition to my yard for the birds.

Question & Answer
The door on this is so small and are the holes for the seed to come through. What kind of seed do you use for this feeder?
Hello. Any bird seed may be used for the Solar Bird Feeder. We hope this information is helpful.

Can anyone give an example of what type of seed you can use in the butterfly feeder? The holes on the feeder are so small as is the opening on the back. I’m at a complete loss trying to find seed that works for this feeder.
