What are the beads hanging off of? Is it wood or metal? Does the whole piece only hang in a doorway or window or something with a frame?

The Chevron Beaded Room Screen is designed to hang in a doorway or window, it is 35 1/2" w x 78" h. It has a wood top frame that holds the strands of brown, taupe, white shaded beads strung into a chevron pattern. Bead shapes are tubes of assorted sizes made out of wood, tin, and bamboo.
